Selenosol is an orally administered liquid preparation of selenomethionine, the dietary form of selenium, an essential trace mineral.
Selenosol contains selenomethionine, a well-absorbed organic selenium bound to methionine. This is the common dietary form of selenium and is easily utilised by the body’s tissues and muscles. For organic selenium, chronic exposure exerts toxic effects at 3mg per day and although probable, for acute exposure, toxicity has not been reported.
