Blackmores P.C.I.P. is effective for use as an anti-infective and anti-inflammatory product. The potassium chloride component of Blackmores P.C.I.P. is traditionally used to treat second stage inflammation with congestion. Potassium chloride also has the ability to fight infection with white or greyish-white discharge, lymphatic congestion and associated symptoms, and hypochlorhydria.
The iron phosphate component of Blackmores P.C.I.P. is commonly used to treat first stage inflammation and infection, anaemia and iron deficiency. Together, potassium chloride and iron phosphate combine to become a great all-round medication to help treat infection, congestion and iron deficiencies.
Active ingredients
- Potassium chloride - 65 mg
- Iron phosphate - 15 mg
Dosage
Adults - Take 1 tablet 3 times a day with meals, or as professionally prescribed. Children under 12 years - As professionally prescribed. Suitable for use in pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Precautions
Iron may decrease the absorption and efficacy of some medications. P.C.I.P. should be administered at least 2 hours apart from methyldopa, carbidopa, levodopa, thyroid hormone, penicillamine, tetracyclines, quinolones and bisphosphonates.
